He hung 50 feet in the air and raised his finger.
"One more time," he mouthed to the screaming crowd.
I was at the circus with my wife and three-year-old son.
The young trapeze artist had missed the rung and fell. His tether rope caught him and he hung there for a few seconds then began his climb back up to the swinging bar.
It was his third time missing and falling. It was his third time raising one finger and mouthing the words, "One more time."
It was A MountainWings Moment fifty feet above the ground.
We all slip and fall. We all miss the bars that we reach for. We all have the choice that the trapeze artist had.
We can give up.
Or we can raise our finger and ask of life,
"One more time please?"
Remember, you only fail when you stop trying.
